The Basics
What is the Backyard Bonanza?
The Backyard Bonanza is a free giveaway at the Fall Home Expo, November 6–8, 2026, at Expo Square in Tulsa. Up to nine prizes will be awarded, led by a $10,000 Western Red Cedar pergola professionally installed by Select Outdoor Solutions.
When and where is the Fall Home Expo?
November 6–8, 2026, at the Exchange Center at Expo Square, 4145 E 21st St, Tulsa. Hours: Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Admission is free.
Does it cost anything to enter?
No. Admission to the Fall Home Expo is free, entry is free, and no purchase is necessary.
Who can enter?
Oklahoma residents who are 21 or older. Employees of the sponsors, prize sponsors, and donating exhibitors, and their immediate family and household members, are not eligible. See the Official Rules for full details.
Can more than one person in my household enter?
Yes. Every eligible adult in your household can register and enter. However, only one prize will be awarded per household.
Do I have to attend the Fall Home Expo to enter?
Yes. Entries are made at the show by scanning QR codes with your phone. Pre-registering online sets up your 3x bonus, but it is not an entry by itself.
Do I need a smartphone?
Yes. You’ll scan QR codes with your own phone’s camera and fill out a short form.
Pre-Registration and the 3x Bonus
What does pre-registering do?
It triples your entries. Every prize you enter at the show counts as 3 entries instead of 1.
How and when do I pre-register?
Go to TheBackyardBonanza.com/enter and complete the short form by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Your cell phone number becomes your entry code.
Does pre-registering enter me in the drawings?
No. Pre-registering locks in your 3x bonus. You still need to scan in at the lobby and scan at prize sponsor booths during the show.
I missed the pre-registration deadline. Can I still play?
Yes. Scan the QR code in the lobby at the show and register on the spot. Your entries will count 1x.
I already pre-registered. Why do I fill out the form again in the lobby?
The lobby registration is what activates your entries at the show. If you don’t complete it, your booth scans won’t count. Be sure to use the same cell phone number you pre-registered with. That’s how we match you to your 3x bonus.
What if I use a different cell number at the show?
We match everything by cell number. If it doesn’t match your pre-registration, your entries will count 1x instead of 3x.
Playing at the Show
How do I enter at the show?
Two steps: (1) scan the Backyard Bonanza QR code in the lobby and complete the lobby registration, and (2) scan the QR code at each prize sponsor’s booth to enter that prize’s drawing.
Which booths have QR codes?
Each prize sponsor’s booth displays a Backyard Bonanza QR sign. Prize sponsors are listed on the Prizes page as they are announced.
Do I have to scan in the lobby first?
No. You can scan booths first and complete the lobby registration later, but you must complete the lobby registration before 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8. Booth scans without a lobby registration don’t count.
Can I scan the same booth more than once?
You can, but it won’t add entries. You get one entry per prize, which counts 3x if you pre-registered and 1x if you didn’t.
How many prizes can I enter?
As many as you like. Scan every prize sponsor’s booth to be in every drawing.
Can I check how many entries I have?
No. Entries are totaled after scanning closes at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, so no running counts are shown.
Prizes
What can I win?
The Platinum Grand Prize is a 10' × 12' heavy-timber Western Red Cedar pergola with a polycarbonate cover, professionally installed by Select Outdoor Solutions (approximately $10,000 value). Gold ($5,000+), Silver ($2,500+), and up to six Bronze ($500+) prizes will be announced between now and the show. Check the Prizes page often.
Why are some prizes for homeowners only?
The Platinum, Gold, and Silver prizes are installed at or delivered to the winner’s home, so the winner must own a home within our service area.
How do I know if my home is in the service area?
The eligible ZIP codes are listed in Section 11(b) of the Official Rules. If you own a home in one of those ZIP codes, you’re eligible for the top three prizes.
I rent. Can I still win?
Yes. Renters are eligible for all Bronze prizes.
What's involved if I win the pergola?
Select Outdoor Solutions installs it on or before December 31, 2026, weather permitting. The winner is responsible for site preparation, permits, and any HOA approvals. If those costs don’t work for you, you can decline the prize with no penalty.
Can I take cash instead of the prize?
No. Prizes have no cash value and there is no cash alternative.
Will I owe taxes on a prize?
Prize winners are responsible for any taxes. For prizes valued at $600 or more, you’ll complete an IRS Form W-9 and receive a Form 1099-MISC.
The Drawings and Winning
When are the drawings?
Sunday, November 8, 2026, beginning at about 2:00 p.m. Scanning closes at 1:00 p.m. Bronze prizes are drawn first, followed by Silver, then Gold. The Platinum pergola is drawn last.
Do I have to be present to win?
You don’t need to be at the drawing, but you must reach the prize claim desk at the Fall Home Expo within 30 minutes of being notified. Plan to be at or near Expo Square Sunday afternoon.
How will I know if I won?
We’ll call and text the cell number you registered with. Keep your phone on and nearby Sunday afternoon.
What happens if I miss the call?
If you don’t claim within 30 minutes, a new winner is drawn for that prize.
What do I need to claim a prize?
A valid government-issued photo ID. You’ll sign an eligibility affidavit and liability release. For a top-three prize, you’ll also confirm you own your home in the service area. Allowing us to share your photo is optional.
Can I win more than one prize?
No. Only one prize is awarded per household. Once a household wins, everyone in that household is removed from the remaining drawings.
Where will winners be posted?
Platinum, Gold, and Silver winners (first name, last initial, and city) will be posted on this site after the show.
The $500 Voucher
What is the $500 voucher?
Everyone who completes the lobby registration at the show receives a $500 voucher from Select Outdoor Solutions toward a new concrete driveway or patio replacement project. The minimum project is $6,000, the limit is one per household, and it expires February 28, 2027.
How do I get the voucher?
It’s emailed to you after you complete the lobby registration at the show. Pre-registering alone does not qualify.
Your Information
What happens to my information?
Tulsa Home Shows receives all registration information to run the giveaway. Select Outdoor Solutions receives information from registrants who identify as homeowners. No other prize sponsor or exhibitor receives your information, and it is never sold.
Will I get marketing emails or texts?
Tulsa Home Shows will email you about future shows only if you check the opt-in box. Promotional texts require separate consent. Texts to winners are part of the giveaway. You can unsubscribe at any time.
